About the Author

Through my life, I’ve learned needed lessons about the values of kindness, love, and avoiding relationships with toxic people. I’ve absorbed works on individual rights, individuality, diversity, self-identity, fairness, and justice. My website is a type of shrine to all these values, while my novel, Charlton’s Ground tells one of many stories underlining the importance of them. There are more to come with Evolution Farm as the first novel in a trilogy. I’m currently seeking literary representation for Evolution Farm. I’ve written Devolution Farm (Book 2) and have two-thirds of the rough draft for Revolution Farm (Book 3).

So, now you know about me and why I wrote Charlton’s Ground. I currently live in Maryland, where my two greatest heroes, Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman, lived and escaped bondage. I have two wonderful daughters, who motivate my rights advocacy with the aim of helping them live in a better world.

Taken 2/18/23. The words below Frederick Douglass read, “Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters.”
