How this leads to greater control over a victim: Creating a frame around a request for action that makes it appear as if the move would help the actor or others increases the chance of occurrence.

Advice: If you’ve picked up on other signs of narcissism, apply a heavy dose of skepticism when the possible narcissist claims that you should take action to support yourself or someone else.
